This, then, is how you should pray:
‘Our Father in heaven’,
— Adoration
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
— Confidence
your will be done,
— Hope
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
— Needs
And forgive us our debts,
— Forgiveness
As we also have forgiven our debtors.
-– Personal Responsibility
And lead us not into temptation,
–Protection
But deliver us from the evil one.
— Humility, I need you Lord
Who benefits from the meeting?
WE DO!!!!!!!
Your Father always knows what you need.
Matt 6
7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
Closing Thoughts
“Not to pray because you do not feel fit to pray is like saying, “I will not take medicine because I am too ill.” Pray for prayer: pray yourself, by the Spirit’s assistance, into a praying frame.”
― Charles Haddon Spurgeon, Encouraged to Classic Sermons on Prayer
“If I feel myself disinclined to pray, then is the time when I need to pray more than ever.”
― Charles Haddon Spurgeon
